Finding the Best Drum Kit
When you love to play music, you would also like to have good gears, right? With that thought, how do we find the best gear that fits for us?
They may really vary depending on your taste and style. Like for choosing a drum kit. There are several drum kits available with different styles and function as well as other drum parts.
Try checking out these kits that I personally like. They are affordable and advisable for starters like me.
1. Pearl Export EXX Series
Incorporated with Pearl's Superior Shell Technology (SST), P-830 Hardware Series and P-930 Kick Pedal, Opti-lock Tom Mounts and 6 choices of stock finishes.
The common kit setup is consist of:
• 14x5.5 inch wooden snare
• 12x8 inch and 13x9 inch rack toms
• 16x16 inch floor tom
• 22x18 inch bass drum

Affordable drum kit with quality that pass my mark, I can say. Some stores include Zildjian Planet Z Cymbals Pack.

2. Yamaha GigMaker
A drum kit for beginner and intermediate players like me who are just starting out or loves to play drums for fun. The kit uses all Yamaha hardware featuring hex tom ball joints and five glitter-wrap finishes.
There are 2 popular configurations for this kit such as:
• 20" bass drum, 10"/12" toms, 14" floor tom, 14" snare
• 22" bass drum, 12"/13" toms, 16" floor tom, 14" snare
In some retailers they are packaged with Paiste 101 cymbals.(source: Yamaha)

3. Gretsch Energy
Redesigned to include more Gretsch® features. More like saying, "This drum kit is a product of our company" or something like that, I guess. Kidding aside, this set features "quick" sizes for toms to provide punchy tones and lower positioning, which is beneficial for kids or petite drummers. Cool. The 12" tom has only 5 lugs. Make sure that you tighten lugs diagonally to form a star. This kit is also classified as semi-pro drumset, including non-drilled bass drum.
Pre-configured shell packs are consist of the following:
• 22x18 bass drum, 10x7 and 10x8 rack toms, and 14x5.5 snare
Some retailers also include Sabian SBR Cymbal Pack as part of the drum package.

This is a pre-configured entry level kit. The kit includes drums, hardware, cymbals and even a drum throne. Hmmmm, handy. Sabian cymbals are included in the kit for US only. This may vary for international markets.

• 10x8 and 12x 9 toms
• 16x14 floor tom
• 22x16 bass drum
• 14x5 snare
