12 Strings? That's Interesting
Have you guys heard of a 12-stringed guitar? Yes, 12 strings of joy. Sounds weird? Nope. Let's see.
I have tried playing one and it's a great experience. Giving you a thick sound like there are 2 guys playing the same rhythm with different octaves. Wait, what's an octave? Let's make it simple. The next octave, higher or lower is the next "do", like in do-re-mi. Still confused? Here's another example. You picked the note "G" as the "do" in the scale pattern. The next "G" as the notes go higher following the do-re-mi notes will be the higher octave. Same applies when you go lower. So, there will be a "G" of higher note and the same "G" but of a lower note based on the given example. Got it?
Using 12-stringed guitars are just the same as the usual 6-stringed guitar. You can tune it the way you want, just take note that the 4 pair of strings from the top, yes, the literal top when you hold the guitar upright, will be an octave apart of the same note. then the last 2 pair of strings from the bottom will sound the same note per pair.

I played several songs and I really loved the way it sounded. It's like 2 guitars playing one octave apart but from just one player. It really had me so interested of owning and discovering what more it could do or sound. Cool. I'm gonna have one myself. I'd better start savin'.
Peace.
