Phonetography (Smartphone Photography)

Smartphones. Most of us have these now like a basic necessity. We also do love to take pictures and since a mobile camera is a part of smartphones’ features, everyone that has it can take pictures as much as they want. Or as long as they have free memory space. Whatever works.

Now that we are talking about pictures, why not include photography basics to it. It will make the pictures you take from your mobiles phones a whole lot better. There are also a bunch of camera apps that functions like a professional camera in an easier way of usage, of course.

The first and most important part for me is finding a SUBJECT. You may find yourself a subject if you’re just going on selfies and stuff.

Second is COMPOSITION. Find your subject a good background or make a good background with what is with your subject’s environment.

Another important thing for me is using the RULE OF THIRDS. Imagine the frame of your camera’s viewfinder divided into 9 rectangles. Use the imaginary grids from how you divided the frame to capture the SUBJECT and the BACKGROUND in a beautiful yet workable angle.

Rule of Thirds

Your pictures should be better now. Trust me, they will. It may depend on how you do it. Practice does it. Or whatever works for you.

Hope this helped. Chiao!
